It is fairly obvious that such services can create some, to put it mildly, inconveniences for webcam models, OnlyFans models, and other people in the adult industry. For example, with Pimeyes users can easily find your leaked materials on pirate sites, and possibly even find your real social media pages — some old pages you have already forgotten about, but which contain enough information to de-anonymize you.

We hope you already want to hide your photos from Pimeyes. Let us begin!

  1. First, go to https://pimeyes.com, upload your photo and look at the results — there will definitely be something, but do not dig into it too much.
  2. Then go to https://pimeyes.com/en/opt-out-request-form, choose a convenient language on the site, and start filling out the form.

You may not need the rest of the instructions, but it is still better to read this article to the end.

1. You need to upload your photo

Do not worry — Pimeyes is, in principle, a reasonable company; they will not additionally leak the photo you provide. The system simply needs to understand exactly what to hide from the database, so a photo is needed as an example.

Interestingly, the form mentions several photos, but it only lets you upload one, so we will fill out the form several times. First with your current photo, then with a photo taken a couple of years ago; if you have changed your appearance significantly, you will need before-and-after photos. For better understanding, open your iPhone's gallery — there is a list of faces with photos at the bottom; see how many times over the years it counted you as different people — the same thing can happen here.

General rules for all photos uploaded to the form:

  • the face should be clearly visible;
  • good light (not studio light, of course — just make sure the photo is not dark);
  • the photo should be in color;
  • there should be nothing covering the face or eyes (if you wear glasses, upload a photo with glasses separately);
  • ideally, take the photo with a proper camera, not an intercom — in short, the photo should be of good quality.

2. Upload an ID

This can be a passport or driver's license — a document where your data is duplicated in Latin script. Before uploading, hide the sensitive data on the document. The service suggests leaving only your sex, your name, citizenship, a signature for some reason (do not), and the photo. Again, we do not seriously doubt Pimeyes's relative decency, but leaks happen to everyone, so let us try to give them less data.

Our tips:

  • the first time, try uploading a document with less data (hide your name, surname, and signature too — it might work); try this a couple of times hiding different data, and if needed, leave your name and surname;
  • you can and should definitely hide your date of birth, any document numbers, place of birth, document expiry date, and fingerprint;
  • hide the data so it cannot be uncovered — physically cover it with strips of paper and then photograph it; if you do it in a photo editor, send a screenshot of the finished image, not the image exported by the editor;
  • damage the document's borders in the photo so it is harder to recreate — for example, put something over the edge, or crop them in a photo editor.

3. Provide an email

The advice here is very simple — do not use your main email. For things like this it is better to use temporary mailboxes. Or just set up a couple of emails you use for such things, and never link them to your real data in any way.
