Try to calm down
Do not give in to emotions — that is exactly what blackmailers want. Yes, the thing you were afraid of has happened. But nothing terrible has occurred. You will probably have a couple of unpleasant conversations and a few sideways glances (so what — to hell with them!), but your life is fine. The people who were truly close to you will stay that way.
The most important thing for you right now is to protect your emotional state. If that is hard, talk to someone you can discuss it all with. You can find a therapist for this period. In short, do not let some idiots ruin your mood for a long time — they are not worth that attention.
Evidence
Blackmailers will not necessarily contact you directly. They may send the information to your acquaintances on social media, and one of them will tell you. Ask these acquaintances to screenshot the blackmailers' message — it will most likely contain a link, which you should also open and screenshot.
Take detailed screenshots of every interaction with the blackmailers — full-screen screenshots with the time, wherever the correspondence happens: in messengers, on social networks, or on their site. Try to steer the conversation so they explicitly demand payment to remove the content about you from their resource. You also need detailed screenshots of the content itself on their resource — for example, your photos and videos from streams. The screenshots should make the fact of blackmail obvious.
Under no circumstances!!! Never pay the blackmailers. It is pointless — they will not delete anything. If you pay once, they will ask for more. On top of that, by transferring money you encourage the blackmailers' activity and put other models at risk.
A serious problem
If the blackmailers have made a web page with your real data, stream screenshots, and links to cam platforms, that is already a problem — not a scary one, but a problem nonetheless. Yes, their sites may be obscure, but anyone can search for you on Google or Yandex out of curiosity, and there is a chance they will stumble onto that page.
This is exactly why we took screenshots of absolutely all the interaction with the scammers. Now you need to contact the search engines' administration to hide this information from search results. By the way, we can help with this — if you are interested, fill out the form at the bottom of the page or write to us on Telegram @dmcawebcam.
After that, you should change all the logins and links of your social and work accounts; if you cannot do it in the interface, contact the resource's support and explain the situation — do not hesitate to tell them about the blackmail, this factor should speed up resolving the problem.
Also, please file a complaint about the scammers' site here: abuseipdb.com — you will help the common cause.
Someone close
This is the section about amateur scammers. If you do not have a social media page with your name and photos, if you follow all the precautions, but you are still being blackmailed — contacted in some messenger, by phone, or via that little-known social media page... Well, it is very likely that someone close is blackmailing you: an ex or current boyfriend, or a friend, or — if you work at a studio — maybe someone from there. There is only one piece of advice here: ignore them, do not reply, tell them to get lost. They will get bored. And such people usually do not have enough resources to seriously harm you.
